Palm reading, also known as palmistry or chiromancy, is a form of divination that involves interpreting the lines, shapes, and other features of a person's palm to gain insight into their character and future. A palm reader, or palmist, will examine the various lines, mounts and shapes on the hand, as well as the size and shape of the hand itself, to interpret the subject's character, emotions, and possible future events.

Palm reading is based on the belief that the lines and other features of the palm are related to certain aspects of a person's life, such as their health, wealth, love life and career. It is not based on any scientific evidence and considered as a form of self-help or personal development.
