Reiki

Reiki is a form of alternative medicine and spiritual practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. It is based on the belief that a universal energy, called "ki" or "chi," flows through all living things and that this energy can be channeled by a practitioner to promote healing and balance in the body. A Reiki practitioner will use hand positions, either on or above the body, to channel the energy to the person receiving the treatment. The goal of Reiki is to balance and align the body's energy, which is believed to improve physical and emotional health, reduce stress and promote relaxation. Reiki is not based on scientific evidence and is considered as a complementary therapy and is often used in conjunction with conventional medical treatment.
